This is TNL, or 'The Night Lingers'. Thank you for taking the time to view this website. The story takes place in an island far away from any civilization; unknown to any humanity. Indeed, it is a large island that holds lions, tigers, leopards, panthers... all of those cool cats. Of course, they must have their prey, too; everything is plentiful.

You may wonder the name of this peculiar island, so I will tell you; Eiko. A strange name it is, for such a strange island. To the wildcats, in their ancient language that has deserted their minds over the centuries, it means 'rocky terrain'. And, there must be an explanation for that, hm? Yes, indeed; when it was first discovered by the many wildcats that were placed there at the beginning of creation, the island was rocky and full of gravel. There was not much shrubbery. These clever animals, however, found a way to use the rivers in watering plants and planting seeds. They wet the hard grounds and made them soft; and one day, in a miraculous way, it rained! This was actually the first time it ever had rained, for the water came up in gysers and springs from the earth. But now it fell from the sky, and the wildcats ceased to bring the water to the thirsty seeds, for the rain continued on every few days.

However peaceful times were in the past, though, tensions are rising between each of the tribes that had been set those many centuries ago. These tribes are consisting of...

'Merjrag,'; the tribe that holds the element of fire [and 'Merjrag' meant fire in the olden language].

'Lastrang,'; the tribe that holds the element of light and electricity [and 'Lastrang' meant light in the olden language].

'Uka,'; the tribe that holds the element of plants [and 'Uka' meant plant in the olden language].

'Etsune'; the tribe that holds the element of water [and 'Etsune' meant water in the olden language].

'Drakor'; the tribe that holds the element of earth [and 'Drakor' meant earth in the olden language].

'Akuren'; the tribe of darkness [and 'Akuren' means darkness in the olden language].

And last but not least... 'Fera'; the tribe of air [and Fera meant air in the olden language].

These wildcats are fighting for their lives against each other. Prey is lessening, and the tribe Drakor has been stealing across the borders to Merjrag, as they are planning to war on them from urges of some bad advisors. Currently, life in Eiko isn't very easy. These animals have to strive, and each one must have determination and perseverance to survive..
