reason- in memory of his fathers' brother who had the same name. his father never explained why his brother was called elijah, however.

age- three and one-half years.

appearance-

first off, eli's not a small feline. height was one of the scarce things he inherited from his father, along with his solid frame. he towers a couple inches over other felines in the group, only helping to enhance that dominant and eerie effect he has on others. muscles do show through his dark brown and black tabby pelt, though not as much as those who specialize in lifting rocks and granite. no, for eli is a master in lifting items of glass; his body allows him to lift shards many times larger than himself while keeping them from shattering. his eyes are the color resting in between green and yellow, similar to drying grass or peeling yellow paint. their gaze is at times quite frightening, appearing to be annoyed or cold. however, this is mostly due to him not being able to show his emotions as well as most could.

one line appearance- large brown-black tabby with piercing yellow-green eyes.

personality-

at first glance, he's not the most welcome of company. he rarely speaks in a conversation, instead staring at you with piercing eyes and an eerie aura. it's beyond rare for him to even want to start a conversation- instead, he chooses to be quiet, to the point that he can appear blunt. most cats stay away from him, scared that he's always angry at them and just doesn't want to have anything to do with them. in fact, it's quite the opposite; he does love company but lacks the social skills required in conversation. his sentences are short, just enough to get the point across, and normally quite mumbled.

despite that, he's quite courteous, considerate and quietly affectionate for those that he loves. life has just never shown him the way to be openly affectionate to those he cares about. he's diligent and hard-working, quietly and efficiently getting the job done for himself and others. though lacking in his social skills, as stated above, he has strength both mentally and physically- it takes a lot to stir him. and, despite being such a large cat, he likes to take care of smaller and more fragile things- glass, younger kits, smaller cats, seedlings, he's taken care of them all. still, he would love to have a friend that wouldn't run away from him at first glance...
